Hi, I’m Erin Lark.
I am a walking, talking, Renaissance person, adventuring through life with my own ragtag cast of characters across our wild landscapes. Life is short, and I have a lot I want to do.
By day, I’m a teacher of teachers. Having taught everything from Kindergarten through graduate classes, I’ve moved into a program management role. If pressed, I’d claim closest allegiance to the sciences, but that’s a tight race. I hold a doctorate in Interdisciplinary Leadership from Creighton University where I researched the when and how of young people becoming STEM innovators. Now, I’m back in the books, studying Strategic Communication at Washington State University. For Spring 2022, my blog will be dedicated to my program as I build my professional skills in content creation.
By night, I’m a writer, seeking to publish. I’ve always had a stories rattling inside my mind, waiting to get onto a page. Teaching gave me the perspective and voice I needed to bring my characters to life, especially those of the teenage variety. During the last year I wrote three books, each of which is moving through the editing process. Now, I’m at a decision precipice: pursue traditional publishing, self-publish, or acrobat through a combination of the two.
When not teaching or writing, I spend my time within an AZ-WA-WY triangle, hiking mountain tops, mug of chai in hand, saying yes to adventure.
Thanks for coming along for the ride.
